A Little Context First
Akshar Yoga Kendraa organized the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026 as an
official attempt to set 21 Guinness World Records in a single day. An event at that
scale doesn't just need a poster and a banner. It needed a full visual identity that
could carry across every physical and digital surface a guest, a partner
organization, or a news camera would see, all in one weekend.
This wasn't a campaign with a few assets. It was an
entire physical world that had to feel like one brand.
The Problem
An event backed by an official Guinness World Records attempt draws serious
attention: partner organizations, media, and thousands of participants, all in one
place. Every touchpoint, from the arch guests walked through to the ID card around
a volunteer's neck, needed to read instantly as one coherent, credible identity.
Nothing could look improvised, and nothing could clash with the many partner
logos that had to sit on the same materials.
Credibility had to be built into every panel, badge, and
banner, at the same time.
My Role
I worked as the sole brand designer for the entire
event, owning the process from first concept to
final production file. With multiple partner
organizations and a large public audience
attending, every small detail mattered: consistent
typography, consistent color logic, and correct
placement of every partner logo across dozens of
formats, both print and digital.
The Ask
Requirements came directly from the client,
but there was no existing framework or
template to build from. The full creative
direction for the event, the whole call on
how it should look and feel, was mine to
make.
The Scale of It
More than twenty five distinct creative pieces, all needed to feel like one brand
across a real venue, real crowds, and real media coverage.
Entry & Environmental
Big arch, small arch, welcome

Attendee Collateral

Digital & Media

The Pivot
The first theme was fully built and ready, days ahead of the event. Then, two days
before the event on Friday night, the direction had to change. Every one of those
twenty five plus creative pieces needed to be reimagined and rebuilt in a
completely new visual theme, in time for a Sunday event, without losing a single
detail across print, stage, and digital formats.
A finished brand identity got rebuilt from scratch, with
the deadline already fixed.
The Constraints
One week for the first build.
Every one of the twenty five plus formats designed, checked, and prepared for production in a single
week.
✦
A full theme change two days out.
The entire visual direction changed on a Friday night for a Sunday event, with almost no runway left.
✦
Many partners, one system.
Guinness World Records, World Yoga Organisation, International Siddha Foundation, and several other
partner marks all had to sit correctly on the same materials.
✦
Zero room for inconsistency.
With national media and thousands of attendees present, any mismatched panel or banner would be
visible immediately.

The Approach
Days 1 to 3
First theme, full build
Built the original visual direction across every category: environmental
branding, attendee collateral, stage and venue graphics, and digital and
media assets.
Days 4 to 5
Refinement and production prep
Finalized files for print and installation, coordinating partner logo
placements across the full set of materials.
Friday Night
The theme changes
With the event two days away, the direction shifted. Every asset needed a
new visual identity, starting immediately.
Saturday
Full rebuild
Recreated all twenty five plus creative pieces under the new theme, keeping
every partner mark and every format consistent, in a single day.
Sunday
Event day
The rebuilt identity went live across the venue for the 21 record attempt, in
front of participants, partners, and national media.
Entry & Environmental Branding
The big arch, small arch, welcome board, and checkboard backdrop set the
tone the moment a guest arrived at the venue.

Attendee Collateral
ID cards, lanyards, and tshirts built to identify participants, volunteers,
stewards, and officials at a glance, across four colorways.

Stage, Podium & Venue Signage
Podium, console, registration booth, and the venue's flex banners, all
carrying the same identity from the front of the stage to the back of the
venue.

Outcomes
Measured against a single, fixed deadline that could not move.
21

2 Days
Full rebrand completed after the

25+
Creative touchpoints kept
consistent
The event went ahead as planned, the records were set, and the identity that carried it was rebuilt from the ground
up with two days to spare. Coverage of the event reached national news and spread widely online.
Key Takeaways
A brand system built for scale is what makes a full rebuild possible on almost no notice.
When many partners share one set of materials, consistency is the actual design problem.
A fixed deadline does not move. Everything else, including a finished identity, sometimes has to.
